After a long bike ride I found this spot. On the other side of the river is a cement factory. There is actually a big hole in the ground there where they dig up the limestone.

The Sint Lambertuskerk in Maastricht was built between 1914 and 1916. Soon after subsedence cracks appeared in the building. The building was restored 10 years later, and nothing happened until 1970 when new cracks appeared. In 1985 the church had to be closed because there was a possibility it could collapse. In 2010 a new renovation project started which was completed last year.

A pond in the city park, Maastricht. The bastion on the right is called “De Vief Köp”, or The Five Heads. The story goes that 5 traitors were beheaded and their heads were put on spears on top of the bastion. This of course was hundreds of years ago.
